Results survey LH - DCC

Between September 23 and October 8, BATM has conducted a market research through an on-line survey tool sent to over 100 travel buyers.

The survey was intended as a follow-up of the BATM forum of September 8 "Changes in the distribution channels", to gain insight on how the market see the recently implemented new commercial strategy and Distribution Cost Charge (DCC) from all the Airlines of the Lufthansa Group (LHG).

The results of this survey, reflecting the answers and opinions of respondents from the Belgian travel buyer community representing an aggregated travel spend in excess of €0.3bn, strongly indicate that travel buyers are not embracing the new LHG commercial strategy and that Airlines do not understand the fundamental principle of today's travel management and Corporate travel programs' objectives and goals.
