As a BATM member, you can count on the right support to realize the full potential of your travel program. We provide you with the most recent information on new developments, regulation, legislation and evolutions in the industry, through our online and offline channels.

Our industry changes at a rapid pace. Following the trends is one thing, applying them in your day-to-day activities is another. We actively share practical tips and tricks, to ensure Belgian travel professionals can stay ahead of the game.

Nearly 200 Belgian business travel professionals, with corporate and/or supplier backgrounds, are a member of BATM today. This means 200 peers who are more than happy to share their stories, experiences and solutions with you. They gather every 3 months during one of our networking or educational events.

Our 50/50 ratio

Networking is key for our association, so BATM encourages all its members to invite colleagues and clients. We offer all Corporate buyers and potential new Supplier members the opportunity to experience the BATM Community, but we always use the 50/50 ratio.

What does that mean?

Well it’s pretty simple: the percentage of Supplier Members can never exceed 40% of the total BATM Membership base. This also means that any new Supplier members must introduce at least one new Corporate Buyer.

Cindy Van der Elst

Global Meeting & Events Leader – KIMBERLY CLARK

Cindy joins the BATM Board with a wealth of industry expertise, as she held both supplier and corporate travel buyer roles.

After the last 15 years managing travel and meetings globally for Honeywell, Cindy joint Kimberly Clark as their Global Meetings & Events Leader recently in 2020.

Today her main focus is to lead the creation and management of a value driven strategic Meetings & Events program across her company worldwide.

Cindy is a recognized leader and speaker in the Travel, Meetings and Events industry and has been a volunteer for multiple travel trade associations.

Not long ago she also became a certified “Diversity and Inclusion” trainer for Kimberly Clark, which is one of her passions together as her drive for “More Sustainable Meetings & Events”.

Pascal Struyve

Corporate Travel Executive & President BATM

Pascal has an extensive travel management background in both corporate and leisure travel industry environments. He has worked 15 years on supplier side as well as 15 years as a corporate travel director with American Standard Companies, Ingersoll Rand and Trane Technologies.

Pascal is also member of the Board of BATM (Belgium Association of Travel Management) since 2008 and serves as the President of the association since February 2017.

He also serves since many years on multiple customer advisory boards within the corporate travel industry including Brussels Airlines and the TMAG (Travel Management Advisory Group) at IATA

Corrado Simontacchi

Advisor and Independent Business Travel Industry Consultant. Former Corporate Purchasing Senior Manager, Goods and Services for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific at Huntsman.

He is a chartered accountant with a business studies degree from the L. Bocconi University of Milan in Italy. Studies at the Economics for Business Leaders – Oxford Business University Summer School and Strategy formulation and decisions trough simulation at the SDA Bocconi complete his business education profile.

Prior to his Corporate Purchasing role, Corrado was EAME Finance Senior Manager of the Huntsman Polyurethanes Divison. He spent twenty years working for this Division (previously, ICI Polyurethanes) in a variety of roles including Marketing Manager, Strategic Planning Manager, Customer Service Manager, SAP Project Manager and IT Manager.

These roles included work on European and global business strategy and restructuring, acquisitions and alliances, preparation of some of the major Company’s capital investments, global supply chain process development, and global SAP and IT strategy implementation.

Vincent Jamoulle

Vincent Jamoulle started his career at Carlson Wagonlit Travel in 2004.
He was consecutively Business Travel Consultant, Sales Manager and Key Account Manager.
After a passage at BCD Travel in 2014, he became Global Travel Manager & Indirect Sourcing Specialist at IBA, a Belgian company which is worldwide leader in proton therapy for the treatment of cancer.

He spent 5 years developing and optimising IBA global travel program and carried out several international projects including a travel policy review, a global TMC change and OBT’s implementation.

Early 2020 he rised to a new challenge as Category Manager General Expenditure at Ideal Standard International, one of the leading manufacturers of products and solutions for private and public bathrooms. He has now the global responsibility for Travel, Marketing and Fleet categories
