Cindy Van der Elst is currently Global Leader of Honeywell Meeting Solutions , the internal meeting & events program in Honeywell. She is based at the Honeywell Offices at Brussels, Belgium.
Cindy has spent nearly 10 years in a variety of roles in business travel including working for Delta Airlines and Carlson Wagonlit prior joining Honeywell.
Cindy joined Honeywell in 2004, where she lead both the operational & procurement activities of the regional travel program during multiple years as EMEA Travel Manager.
Her main achievements were the development of the EMEA regional travel program (2005-2007), the roll-out of the Clipbook/Concur tool across the region (2008-2009) and the recent consolidation of more than 12 European countries into 1 centralized travel center resulting in a > 20% cost saving of the total TMC cost for EMEA (2010-2011) without losing on service.
In her actual role she deployed HMS (Honeywell Meeting Solutions) around the globe with teams in US, EMEA, Asia and India.
Mainly driven by process optimization and procurement excellence, Cindy brings a new strategic approach to the MICE commodity that focuses on company business results and drives the 5 Honeywell initiatives being Growth, Productivity, Cash, People, and Enablers.
